I am currently conducting a survey, open to anyone working or studying in a Classics/Ancient History department in the UK. The aim is to find out about employment practices and contract types in use in Classics departments, and the impact these have on staff and students. The survey will be open until the 31st May 2017.
This is a survey about your experiences working or studying in a department that teaches Classics and/or Ancient History in a university in the UK. The answers you give will be used as data for a research project on employment practices and contract types in Classics departments in the UK, and the effect of these employment practices on staff and students. Expected outputs from this research include (1) a 4000 research essay, to be assessed as part of Module 1 of the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice at the University of Exeter, and (2) a short report in the CUCD bulletin online, which will be open access and freely available.
All your answers will be anonymous. You will not be asked for your name or the name of your university at any point. You can skip any question after question 1. The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
